The Grant Thornton office in Aerocity marks a shift from static corporate environments to adaptive, reconfigurable work ecosystems. Positioned near New Delhi’s international airport, the office serves a constantly mobile global workforce and responds to the evolving workplace paradigm shaped by AI, IoT, and hybrid working patterns. The design is holistic, challenging traditional divisions between owned and shared spaces and creating an environment where work, collaboration, and social interaction overlap seamlessly.

At the heart of the workplace is a flexible spatial framework. “Hives,” “jump spaces,” and activity zones support mobile workstyles, enabling teams to reconfigure their environment in minutes. Sliding partitions allow areas to transform from intimate meeting rooms to a single linear hall for large gatherings. Every space is digitally equipped, offering teleconferencing tools, writable surfaces, and integrated displays to facilitate group discussion and rapid decision-making. This dynamic configurability not only enhances productivity but also results in a 50% increase in space optimisation helping maximize utility without expanding footprint.

Materiality and identity reinforce the company’s culture of robustness and innovation. The interiors combine warm and cool textures: natural wood, live-edge tables, corporate finishes, and signature pieces create an environment that feels both dynamic and elite. The reception becomes the brand’s spatial signature, with a fluid S-shaped desk inspired by the company’s logo that morphs into visitor seating. Throughout the office, a graphic signage system communicates energy, movement, and the ethos of agility.

The workspace extends outdoors into a landscaped terrace designed as an all-season retreat. Plant-covered walls, a dramatic purple signature tree, mist-cooling fans, and charging-enabled seating support year-round use and create a microclimate conducive to relaxation, informal meetings, and after-hours gatherings. The terrace environment, like the office itself, reinforces Grant Thornton’s belief in work settings that prioritize well-being, community, and adaptability.

The Grant Thornton office is an exemplar of next-generation workplace design. Reconfigurable, culturally attuned, technologically integrated, and deeply responsive to the productivity and well-being of its users, it embodies a new corporate ethos where agility becomes strategy, and workplace becomes experience.
