Apollo Residence, titled The Meadow Twins, is imagined as a dual residence set within an expansive landscape in Rajokri, Delhi. Rather than consolidating the programme into a single large house, the project is organised as two distinct yet complementary residences, an approach that responds to the practical and emotional rhythms of multigenerational living. This allows everyday domestic life to unfold with quiet ease while also accommodating a more ceremonial mode of welcome and hospitality.

The architectural language is defined by layered horizontality and rhythmic vertical fins, giving the two houses the character of composed pavilions set gently into the site. Their massing is restrained rather than imposing, allowing the landscape to remain an active part of the experience of living there. The twin forms are unified in expression but not repetitive, and their relationship to each other creates a sense of dialogue across the grounds rather than simple duplication.

A key design consideration is the separation of arrival. Independent entry sequences create a more gracious threshold for visitors while preserving the privacy and calm of the elderly couple’s daily life. This distinction between formal hosting and intimate dwelling is what gives the project its particular refinement. It is not merely a large residence divided into parts, but a more thoughtful domestic arrangement in which architecture supports both togetherness and autonomy.

What gives the project its quiet distinction is this balance of intimacy, dignity, and spatial clarity, where two homes are brought together by landscape, proportion, and a shared architectural discipline rather than by proximity alone.
