An office environment where spatial planning, materiality, and acoustic precision are orchestrated to support high-performance trading functions while sustaining comfort, clarity, and employee wellness.
Conceived for a rapidly expanding financial services group, the Findoc office translates the intensity and precision of trading environments into a spatial framework that is both efficient and composed. Spread across multiple floors, the design organises a complex program comprising trading floors, executive cabins, meeting rooms, and collaborative zones into a clear hierarchy of spaces that balance openness with discretion. Workhalls are strategically planned to optimise team adjacency and communication, while enclosed cabins and meeting rooms provide controlled acoustic environments for focused decision-making.
A strong emphasis is placed on environmental comfort and cognitive ease. Glazed perimeters allow natural light to permeate deep into the floor plate, while acoustic materials, including carpeted surfaces, baffle ceilings, and insulated partitions, ensure that noise levels remain controlled despite the density of operations. Ergonomic workstations, integrated wire management systems, and carefully calibrated lighting further reinforce a workspace that supports long hours without fatigue.
Materially, the interiors adopt a restrained palette of wood, stone, and neutral finishes, establishing a professional yet warm atmosphere. Executive areas, including the CEO suite and boardroom, are designed as layered environments with dedicated meeting zones, lounge settings, and spill-out terraces, reflecting both authority and hospitality. Recreational amenities such as cafés, breakout areas, and wellness spaces introduce moments of pause within the workday, fostering a more balanced organisational culture.
The project ultimately positions the workplace as a strategic asset, where spatial intelligence directly contributes to productivity, employee satisfaction, and the evolving identity of a contemporary financial institution.
